100 Donors in December

100 Donors in December

CAS Past-President Steve Lowe challenges 100 CAS Members to donate and pledges $5,000 if goal is met.

Dear CAS Members:

We can all take great pride in what we’ve been able to accomplish through the work of The Actuarial Foundation, which is our unique opportunity to showcase the talents and generosity of our profession. Over my recently concluded three-year term as CAS President-Elect, President, and Chair of the Board, I had the chance to become closer to the work of the Foundation, and I am proud to support an organization so dedicated to consistently creating possibilities through its educational resources and scholarships. Just in this past year, the Foundation has celebrated many successes, such as;

*Launching the Modeling the Future Challenge, a national math competition for high school students to model how new technologies may change the future.

*Awarding Foundation scholarships to 64 college students, ensuring a bright future for the actuarial profession.

*Piloting the Math Motivators tutoring program in Hartford, Connecticut and expanding the program to Chicago.

I am so inspired by the work of the Foundation, I have committed to a Challenge for CAS Members – achieving 100 CAS donors in December. The past two years, we have had around 80 donors in December from among our membership, but I know we can do better.

To encourage you, if we reach our goal of 100 donors by the end of the month, I will gladly contribute an additional $5,000 to The Actuarial Foundation. Please join me in this worthwhile effort and support the work of our Foundation and the future of our profession.

Please use the form below to make your donation today.

Thank you for your generosity!

All the best,
Steve Lowe
