The Actuarial Foundation’s Advancing Student Achievement (ASA) mentoring program continues at West Memphis Christian School.

Mentoring opportunities will allow you to:

Work with students: Work with 7th- 9th grade students in a fun and creative program that teaches students about how mathematics is used in everyday life.

Participate in innovation: “Mission: M Possible - Math, Mentors, and Motivation” provides innumerable opportunities for West Memphis students to work with actuarial mentors on their problem-solving skills by developing and improving their critical thinking skills, decision-making attributes, and cooperative learning talents as they work their way through the “Missions” (activities written to enhance learning math like measurement and estimation, graphing, area, probability, and functions) using a robot made with a TI-84+ graphing calculator.

Work in a fun environment: Missions will take place one time per month on a Wednesday from 9:45am – 11:00am.
