The Actuarial Foundation's Advancing Student Achievement (ASA) mentoring program continues at Anna B. Kelso Elementary School.

Mentoring opportunities will allow you to:

Work with students: The "Soaring Eagles" program at Kelso matches actuarial mentors with 5th Grade students in four classrooms every Friday, to engage in mathematics games, which promote higher level thinking skills.

Participate in innovation: The program is intended to increase the mathematics skills of students while increasing the comfort level and excitement of students when engaged in math activities. The Soaring Eagles Program is a huge success among students, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administration.

Work in a fun environment: Located in Southeast Houston, the mission of Anna B. Kelso Elementary School is to strengthen the social and economic foundation of Houston, by assuring its youth the highest-quality elementary education available anywhere.
