2003 Georgia State Bowles Symposium

The Actuarial Foundation provided a grant of $7,500 in support of the April 2003 Thomas P. Bowles, Jr. Chair of Actuarial Science Symposium on Fair Valuation of Contingent Claims and Benchmark Cost of Capital. The symposium was held at the Westin Peachtree Hotel in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, on April 10-11.

The symposium was led by this year's Bowles Distinguished Lecturer Shaun Wang, Ph.D., FCAS, ASA, MAAA. The Bowles Symposium is an actuarial research and education seminar that traditionally focuses on issues presented by the changing and complex environment in which the contemporary actuary practices.
