SCHAUMBURG, Ill. and TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – (Sept. 1, 2010) – Scientists with The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have predicted the 2010 hurricane season to be one of the most active in years, calling for eight to twelve named hurricanes. According to the Institute for Business and Home Safety, more than fifty-five million people live along the coast from Texas to Maine where there is also $9 trillion worth of insured property which is exposed to the threat of hurricanes.
