Wynn Kent Public Communication Award
The Wynn Kent Public Communication Award recognizes an actuary who has contributed to the public awareness of financial risk and the work product of the actuarial profession to the public in the fields of life, health, casualty, pension and/or in other related areas. The intent of this award is to encourage actuaries to engage in activities that highlight the actuarial profession’s role in financial security issues benefiting the public. Awardees receive $1,000, a plaque and waiver of registration fees to the Conference of Consulting Actuaries Annual Meeting, where the recipient is presented with the award.

About Wynn Kent
His educational pursuits in actuarial science include an undergraduate degree from Iowa University, a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, and a degree in meteorology from Cal Tech. Mr. Kent was an associate of the Society of Actuaries, member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. To honor Kent, his family and friends established the Wynn Kent Memorial Fund through The Actuarial Foundation to provide an annual Award in his name. |
